What a fabulous day we had for our Captains Day Tournament & BBQ. Despite the rain in the morning, by 2pm the sun was shining and we needed sunscreen and sunglasses on court rather than the expected raincoats and dry clothes!

We had over 40 members playing mixed doubles over 3 rounds, with a break for tea and scones! During our break we had the first ever CI ‘One Point Tournament’ which was gloriously won by Desie Parke.

After the tournament our wonderful social committee provided beautiful salads to accompany our BBQ of burgers and sausages. It was such a lovely evening that many of us sat on at the club and enjoyed the tunes from our in-house ‘band’ The Painkillers. A great day and evening was had by all.
