What a great day we had on the 2nd September when our Captains held our Summer Tournament & BBQ.

The sun shone brightly, all the courts were full and as ever Jim ran an excellent event with Anna and Desie triumphing over Neil and Heather in the final.

We also ran an Open Day for new members and the good weather seemed to bring us lots of visitors and there was such a buzz about the place. They were able to try out a drills class on court and get to watch the tournament from our terrace whilst enjoying the sunshine and a cool drink. We signed up quite a few new members on the day so we look forward to seeing you all on court soon. Big thankyou to coach Johnny and membership secretary Marion for welcoming our visitors.

After the tennis we got to enjoy a BBQ. Hugo and Lynn did a brilliant job with the BBQ and the salads were incredible – thankyou to everyone who provided the food. It was such a lovely evening and everyone was having such a good time that we forgot to take photos, but Lady Captain Liz managed to grab a few snaps at the end of the day.
