This years handicapped tournament ran from 22 – 27 January 2024. This event is open to all eligible members of all abilities. We ran a Mens Doubles, Ladies Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

There was a great buzz around the club this week during the tournament and it was particularly lovely to see quite a few of our junior members playing. More pleasing for the coach and committee was the increase in numbers on last year, almost double the number of entries.

There were some great battles on court throughout the week and finals day proved to be just as entertaining. First up we had the Ladies doubles with Jill and Trish taking on our talented youngsters Daisy and Lottie. It was a very close match with some big hitting. The youngsters triumphed in the end however with a 6/3 6/3 win.

After a short rest Daisy and Trish were back on court again for the final of the mixed doubles. Again another entertaining match of excellent tennis. Unfortunately the youngsters of Daisy and Sam were not so fortunate and Trish and Arie emerged victorious with a 6/4 6/4 win.

The Mens Doubles had to be rescheduled for later this week so good luck to our finalists Chris & Neil v Davy & Arie. Good luck for their final and well done to all the players who entered.
